Romancing the Riesling

Celebrate the Riesling Varietal

Saturday, February 18, 2012 • 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Join us as we celebrate the Riesling varietal! The region is known for producing top notch Riesling grapes so we're celebrating by sharing some of the best Rieslings that Northern Michigan has to offer. Participating wineries will showcase a Riesling, served in your very own souvenir wine glass and perfectly paired with a food offering. As an extra bonus, guests will enjoy at least 10% off* all Riesling wine purchases at the participating wineries throughout the event.

Wine Seminar and Tasting: State of the Riesling
An exclusive Riesling seminar will be offered at The Inn at Chateau Grand Traverse on Saturday, February 18 from 1–2:30 p.m. The seminar will be hosted by winemaker Sean O’Keefe and include Riesling samples from all over the country, including northern Michigan Rieslings for comparison.

Sean crafted the specialty 2010 Chateau Grand Traverse Whole Cluster Riesling recently included in Food & Wine magazine's Editor Picks 2011: Best Wine and Beer. In the article, wine editors Ray Isle and Megan Krigbaum selected ten wines as most exceptional of the year, including Chateau Grand Traverse’s award-winning Riesling.
